Dave has been listening to Space Rock music for over 30 years and playing it with his band Assassins of Silence for 5 years. Daves radio experience comes from being involved with British Forces Broadcasting (BFBS) in the 1980s.Space Rock was developed by the band Hawkwind in the early 1970's but its roots and influences are as varied as the Blues to 1960s Psychaedelia. Pink Floyd could be said to have a Space Rock edge to them, as could many newer bands like Monster Magnet for example. On Sunday Space Rock Dave plays a real mix of all types of Space Rock music from the trippy atmospheric stuff  through the ambient to the heavier rock end of the genre. dave also has interviews lined up with the top exponents of the genre. Listen in if you are already a Space Rock fan or just curious, there will be something for many tastes there.
